WHY DO I COVER MYSELF??

By: Sabiha Saifi:

For me it is enough to cover myself because it is the Commandment of my Lord, ALLAH - The Most High, The Most Great. “Surely, His is the Creation and Commandment. Blessed be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!” (The Quran 7:54)

Are you a Successful Muslim? Judge yourself!

By: Sabiha Saifi

When asked “Are you a Muslim?”

Muslims proudly (with their heads held high) says, “Yea, I am a Muslim” rather most of them add, “I am Khan, Pathan, Syed etc etc etc…” and feel really Proud of “calling” themselves as “Muslims”.

But what makes us “Proud Muslims”? Is it the dareness of disobeying The Lord, ALLAH? Or, Is it following the Islam whole-heartedly?

This world is in need of Strangers

By: Rameeza Shaikh

We know that the world we live in has got many problems. Small or big, natural or man made. In fact, we mankind are responsible for most of the problems because almost everything is a consequence of what our hands have sent forth or left behind. Have a wide picture of the real world. The truth is that this world has become a place of business with its priority being the making of profit, while it should have been Justice. Because concern about profit leads to selfishness whereas Justice itself is unbiased and selfless. This concern about profit is what makes people greedy and leads them to do bad things.

Islah and brotherhood in Islam

By: Rameeza Shaikh

‘Islaah’ means to improve, correct, rectify or repair. In Islamic terminology, ‘Islaah’ means correcting a Muslim or providing more knowledge of Islam to a Muslim (Ref: Shaykh Jalaaluddin Qasmi).

Allah (swt) has made believers as an Ummah. Muslims are related to each other not by blood but by the belief of Lailaha illallah (there is none worthy of worship but Allah). Our brotherhood should be as strong as our belief in Lailaha illallah is!

AL-HAQQAH: The Inevitable Reality

By: Rameeza Shaikh

Allah(SWT) refers to the Day of Judgment with several different names, one of which is Al-Haqqah, which means The Inevitable Reality, an event which cannot be avoided. The surah number 69 of Glorious Quran is titled as Al-Haqqah. It is one of my favorite surahs. Apart from the beautiful use of words, it has got a strong message. Scientists today agree that this world will come to an end though no one knows when except the Almighty God.
