Allah(SWT) refers to the Day of Judgment with several different names, one of which is Al-Haqqah, which means The Inevitable Reality, an event which cannot be avoided. The surah number 69 of Glorious Quran is titled as Al-Haqqah. It is one of my favorite surahs. Apart from the beautiful use of words, it has got a strong message. Scientists today agree that this world will come to an end though no one knows when except the Almighty God.
The Surah says that on that Day, no secret of yours will remain hidden and you will be presented with your account of deeds containing everything which you did in your life. Those people who believed in the Almighty God and the Day of Judgment and accomplished good deeds will get their account in their right hands. They will be rewarded because they believed in Almighty God and they sent forth good deeds for their hereafter. While those who did not worship their Creator, were not concerned about doing good deeds and denied The Day of Judgment thinking that they would not be accountable to God, such people would be thrown into Hell Fire. Wealth, property, children, nothing will benefit the disbelievers on that Day because they were unjust to the Creator and His creations!
Almighty God did not create this world and everything in it without a purpose, Exalted is He! The belief in Judgment Day and doing of good deeds go hand in hand. For a good society, people should fear to do wrong but they also need to be encouraged to do good! Today we see citizens being crazy at the ruling government; each political party is struggling hard to prove the other erroneous and corrupted! This blame game has no end while the truth is that the problem lies within us but unfortunately we fail to grasp this fact. If there are 3 honest people out of 5 then you can hope for justice, but if there are 3 unfair people out of 5 then there is an elevated chance that a crime can go unnoticed.
Teenagers can fool their parents, students can fool their teachers, government can fool its citizens and citizens can fool the government too. But can anyone fool the Almighty God who is All-Knowing, All-Aware? This is the difference between a believer and a disbeliever! Thus, the only thing that can make you fearful of doing wrong and encourage you to do good is the belief in the Almighty God and the Day of Judgment. There are some rules and regulations in our homes, schools and colleges, states and countries and so on; don't you think that Almighty God will have rules for his world which He created? Won't He reward the good and punish the bad? Is He not just?
Allah, The Almighty God says-
"We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and for an appointed term. But those who disbelieve turn away from that whereof they are warned."
-Quran 46:3
This is the inevitable reality that definitely you will die and indeed you will be judged on the Day of Judgment. Take responsibility of what you do. Ask yourself what you believe in and what you live for? Life is short and no one's permanent here; believe it or not we all agree to this fact consciously or subconsciously but now it’s time to take a close look at our own self... are we on the right part, are we leading a life of piety, are we standing up to the standards set by our Almighty… it’s high time we introspect ourselves and get ready to face the inevitable truth- Al haqqah!
